Freecycle : Transition Kings Cliffe
TKC has a local Freecycle group in the Kings Cliffe area. Freecycle
is a scheme that tries to connect people who want to get rid of
items with people who have a use for these items. In doing so the
scheme aims to reduce the amount of material going into landfill.
There is an existing Peterborough Freecycle, which is very active,
however members can receive upwards of 60 emails a day, which many
people aren’t happy to trawl through. TKC Freecycle is independent
of the Peterborough and National Freecyle movement, but supports
their principles.
TKC Freecycle works by a member sending a description of the item
they want or wish to donate to ant@transitionkingscliffe.org.uk,
whereupon an email will then be sent to the group. Members will
then get an email only when there are items available (or requested).
You will be able to unsubscribe whenever you want to by emailing
Ant. Obviously, we can't predict how many emails you will receive
but it is likely to be few (we’ll guess at less than 5 or 6 a week).
For you to be part of TKC Freecycle all you have to do is to say
you are willing for your email address to be placed on the Kings
Cliffe Freecycle list. So, if you want to be part of this scheme,
or have any questions, please email ant@transitionkingscliffe.org.uk.
