Toolshare : Transition Kings Cliffe

Ever had to drive all the way to town to buy a tool you’ll only use once?

Got tools in your shed that you’d be happy to lend out to other villagers in need?

If so, then you might be interested in joining the Toolshare group. You don’t have to offer up all your tools for sharing, just the ones you are happy to lend out. In a nutshell, we are trying to build a village-wide tool kit, with the aim of increasing sharing and self-reliance in the village and depending less on the towns to meet our needs.

To join, all you need to do is contact peter@transitionkingscliffe.org.uk giving your name and phone number and at least one tool you are prepared to lend, along with pertinent details if needed. In return you will be given access to our tool list, which lists all available tools and the phone number of each tool owner. This list is available only to toolshare members.

When you want to borrow a tool, just contact the owner and arrange the terms of the loan. It’s easy!
